Race results

The Miami Grand Prix began with polesitter Verstappen retaining the lead, but the McLarens stayed close to the Ferrari group in the opening phase. Norris extended his first stint, and when Kevin Magnussen and Logan Sargeant collided in the middle of the race, the safety car gave him the ideal moment to pit with minimal time loss. That promoted him into the lead. After the restart Verstappen chased, but Norris and McLaren had the pace to hold the gap. In the closing laps Norris stayed error-free and secured his first Formula One victory. Verstappen finished second, Leclerc third, and Yuki Tsunoda scored points in seventh.
