Haas F1 Team

Haas F1 Team entered in 2016 as a new American-backed team using a close technical partnership with Ferrari. Its debut was spectacular, with Romain Grosjean finishing sixth in Australia. The team used a lean business model and quickly became a midfield contender, reaching fifth in the constructors’ championship in 2018. However, brake issues, tyre-understanding problems, driver clashes and the 2019 Rich Energy saga exposed weaknesses. Haas showed a new way for a small entrant to operate in modern F1, combining efficiency and competitiveness with the instability of a young organisation.
