Race results

The British Grand Prix began with second-placed Norris making a strong start and passing Verstappen to lead, thrilling the home crowd. Verstappen used DRS a few laps later to retake first place and then managed the race. McLaren remained competitive, with Norris and Piastri running in the podium fight. In the middle phase Kevin Magnussen's engine failure brought out the safety car, and Hamilton benefited from the pit timing to jump ahead of Piastri. After the restart, Norris held off Hamilton despite being on hard tyres against Hamilton's softs. Verstappen won, Norris finished second and Hamilton third, underlining McLaren's resurgence.
