The Austrian Grand Prix began with polesitter Verstappen holding the lead and controlling the race from the opening laps. Leclerc and Sainz chased for Ferrari, but they could not match Red Bull's pace. A virtual safety car in the middle phase split pit strategies, yet Verstappen kept a comfortable lead throughout. Pérez recovered from 15th on the grid and passed Sainz late to take third. After the race, numerous track-limit penalties were applied, changing several finishing positions. Verstappen made a late stop for soft tyres, took fastest lap and won. Leclerc finished second and Pérez third.
