Race results

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix began with polesitter Norris holding the lead, while Piastri lost ground after contact with Verstappen. Norris managed the pace calmly from the front, as Ferrari pushed through Sainz and a recovering Leclerc. In the middle phase Piastri's penalty and lost positions increased the pressure on Norris as McLaren's Constructors' Championship hopes rested mainly on his race. Leclerc recovered from 19th on the grid into podium contention, while Hamilton also climbed in his final race for Mercedes. In the closing laps Norris kept the gap to Sainz under control and won. Sainz finished second and Leclerc third, but Norris's victory secured McLaren's first Constructors' Championship since 1998.
