Race results
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix began with polesitter Leclerc leading and Piastri chasing in second. In the middle phase Piastri used the long main straight to pass Leclerc and take the lead. Leclerc stayed close within DRS range for many laps, but Piastri defended with precision and kept control. Behind them, Pérez and Sainz fought for the podium, and the closing laps brought a tight battle also involving Leclerc. With two laps remaining, Pérez and Sainz collided and crashed, causing the race to finish under safety-car conditions. Piastri took his second Formula One win, Leclerc finished second and Russell inherited third. Norris recovered from 15th to fourth and set fastest lap.
