The British Grand Prix began in difficult wet conditions, with the choice between intermediates and slicks shaping the early phase. After a restart, Verstappen struggled with his low-downforce setup and tyre temperatures, allowing Piastri to pass him for the lead at Stowe. As rain intensified, repeated safety-car periods disrupted the race, and Piastri later received a 10-second penalty for erratic braking before a restart. Through the middle phase Norris remained clean and inherited the advantage once Piastri's penalty was applied. In the closing laps Nico Hülkenberg, who had started 19th, rose into podium contention and held on for his first Formula One podium. Norris won his home Grand Prix, with Piastri second and Hülkenberg third.
