FORMULA 1 PIRELLI GRAND PRIX DU CANADA 2025

Circuit Gilles Villeneuve

Montreal, Canada

Race results

The Canadian Grand Prix began with polesitter George Russell holding the lead and Max Verstappen retaining second. Oscar Piastri, starting third, was attacked by Kimi Antonelli into the first corner and lost position by turn 3. The early phase was led by Russell and Verstappen, while the middle part focused on the second pit-stop cycle, with Antonelli pressuring Verstappen. In the closing laps Piastri and Lando Norris fought over fourth, but on lap 66 Norris clipped Piastri's left-rear tyre and crashed into the pit wall. The safety car was deployed and the race finished under neutralised conditions. Russell took his first win of the season, Verstappen finished second, and Antonelli claimed his first Formula One podium, the first for an Italian driver since 2009.
