FORMULA 1 LENOVO AUSTRIAN GRAND PRIX 2026

Red Bull Ring

Spielberg, Austria

Race results

The Austrian Grand Prix was run under heat-hazard conditions, with very high track temperatures making tyre management central to the race. Polesitter George Russell kept the lead at the start and controlled the early pace. In the middle phase, a virtual safety car and pit timing shaped the order, and Kimi Antonelli temporarily lost ground. Max Verstappen recovered from fifth on the grid and closed on Russell in the final stint. Despite a drinks-system problem, Russell resisted the pressure and won by 1.6 seconds, taking his second victory of the season. Verstappen finished second and Antonelli completed the podium.
