Race results

The Qatar Grand Prix began with polesitter Piastri covering Norris, but Verstappen passed Norris into turn 1 to take second. Piastri led the early phase, before contact between Gasly and Hülkenberg on lap seven caused Hülkenberg to lose a right-rear tyre and brought out the safety car. Under the 25-lap maximum tyre-use rule, McLaren pitted Piastri and Norris early, but Verstappen gained strategic control. Through the middle phase Piastri held second, while Norris was delayed behind Sainz and Antonelli. Late on, Norris passed Antonelli for fourth but could not reach the podium. Verstappen won, keeping the title fight alive for the Abu Dhabi finale.
