Race results

The Hungarian Grand Prix began with polesitter Leclerc holding the lead, followed by Piastri and Norris. Piastri stopped on lap 18 for hard tyres, and Leclerc responded one lap later to cover him. Norris stayed out much longer, stopping on lap 31 and committing to a one-stop strategy. In the middle phase Leclerc and Piastri used two-stop plans to chase, while Norris managed older tyres at the front. Late on, Piastri closed into DRS range and lunged at turn 1 on the penultimate lap, but locked up and could not pass. Norris held on by less than a second for his first Hungarian Grand Prix victory. Piastri finished second, Russell third, and Leclerc dropped to fourth after losing pace and receiving a penalty.
