Race results

The Japanese Grand Prix started after a delayed build-up, and the opening laps brought strong launches from Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc. Polesitter Kimi Antonelli initially lost ground, but rebuilt his race, while George Russell also moved back toward the front early on. In the middle phase, Oliver Bearman's crash brought out the safety car and changed the pit-stop picture. Antonelli used that sequence to take control and opened a gap to Piastri after the restart. In the closing laps Leclerc held off Russell for third, while Antonelli claimed his second consecutive victory. Piastri finished second and Leclerc completed the podium.
