The Spanish Grand Prix began with polesitter Verstappen holding off Sainz to keep the lead. Behind them, Norris made contact with Hamilton and damaged his front wing, dropping him out of contention early. In the middle phase Mercedes showed strong race pace, with Hamilton moving into second and Russell recovering from 12th on the grid to third. Verstappen managed the tyres cleanly and built a comfortable lead throughout. Pérez recovered from 11th to fourth, while Sainz finished fifth. Verstappen added fastest lap to victory and led every lap from pole, completing a grand slam.
