Race results

The Hungarian Grand Prix began with polesitter Hamilton losing out at the start, allowing Verstappen to take the lead into turn 1. Norris and Piastri also moved into strong positions, putting McLaren into podium contention early. Verstappen quickly built a gap and managed the tyres comfortably through the middle phase. Norris held second, while Piastri gradually faded after a strong start. Pérez recovered from ninth on the grid and moved into the podium places late in the race. Verstappen won, and Red Bull extended its season-opening winning streak to 12, breaking McLaren's 1988 Formula One record. Norris finished second and Pérez third.
