Mark Webber
Mark Webber was born in Queanbeyan, Australia, in 1976 and built his career through grit, endurance racing and European junior categories. Without the simplest route to Formula 1, he worked his way through sports cars and Formula 3000 before debuting with Minardi in 2002. Scoring points on debut at his home Grand Prix instantly made him a hero to Australian fans. Webber raced for Jaguar and Williams before finding his strongest years with Red Bull Racing. Alongside Sebastian Vettel, he helped turn Red Bull into a championship-winning team and scored multiple Grand Prix victories. The internal rivalry was often tense, but Webber’s speed, especially at high-speed circuits, and his direct personality made him one of the most respected drivers of his era. After leaving F1, Webber joined Porsche in the World Endurance Championship and became a world champion in sports cars. He later moved into broadcasting, management and ambassador roles. His legacy is that of a tough, honest competitor who helped build Red Bull’s success while keeping a distinctly Australian edge.
