Overview

Jaguar raced from 2000 to 2004 as Ford’s manufacturer-backed Formula 1 project after taking over Stewart. Expectations were high, but the team struggled with management instability, inconsistent development and a lack of front-running pace. Eddie Irvine delivered podiums at Monaco in 2001 and Monza in 2002, while Mark Webber became the standout figure in the later years. Jaguar never won a race and was sold after 2004, becoming Red Bull Racing. Its story captures both the ambition and difficulty of manufacturer involvement in the early 2000s.
