Jordan Grand Prix
Overview
Jordan entered the 2000s as a respected independent team but gradually declined after its strong 1999 season. Engine deals, funding pressure and reduced competitiveness pushed it down the grid, yet it still produced memorable moments. Giancarlo Fisichella won the chaotic 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix, Jordan’s final victory, and Tiago Monteiro scored a podium at the unusual 2005 United States Grand Prix. Drivers such as Takuma Sato, Nick Heidfeld and Jarno Trulli also passed through. Sold to Midland after 2005, Jordan’s 2000s story was a fading but colourful final act.
