Hamilton wanted Ferrari to be bold with its 2026 F1 car

Perhaps Lewis Hamilton had not quite realised what he was taking on when he joined Ferrari last year. His first season with Formula 1's longest-serving team fell flat, but his 2026 form has shown a marked change in demeanour.

Hamilton's frustrations had partly stemmed from Ferrari's decision to stop developing its previous car, while he has welcomed a bolder technical direction for 2026 as the team tries to move closer to the benchmark.
