The FIA has confirmed that Pirelli will remain Formula 1's exclusive tyre supplier through the end of the 2028 season.
The FIA has confirmed that Pirelli will remain the exclusive tyre supplier to the FIA Formula One World Championship until the end of the 2028 season.
The extension activates a clause in the contract signed by Pirelli, the FIA and Formula 1 in 2023, which covered the 2025-2027 period and included an option for one additional season. Pirelli will also continue as the exclusive tyre supplier for FIA Formula 2 and FIA Formula 3 through 2028.
FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem said Pirelli has been an important partner to the Formula One World Championship for many years, delivering performance, innovation and safety at the highest level. He said the extension gives the championship stability and reflects the collaboration between the FIA, Formula One Group and Pirelli.
Pirelli Executive Vice Chairman Marco Tronchetti Provera said the company was pleased to extend its F1 presence by another year, describing Formula 1 as a laboratory for innovation and advanced technical development.
Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali welcomed the continuation of the partnership, citing Pirelli's technical quality and its role in supporting the championship's regulatory evolution.
