Tiago Monteiro

Tiago Monteiro is a Portuguese driver who debuted with Jordan in 2005. His rookie season was notable for a remarkable finishing record and a podium at the controversial United States Grand Prix, a historic result for Portugal. In 2006 he raced for Midland, but the team’s limited competitiveness made further major results impossible. After leaving Formula 1, Monteiro built a successful touring-car career, especially in WTCC. His F1 spell is remembered for reliability, resilience and making the most of a rare opportunity for a small team to score a major result.
