Marussia

Marussia evolved from Virgin and raced from 2012 to 2014 as a small independent team. Drivers included Timo Glock, Charles Pic, Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton, and for much of its life points seemed out of reach. That changed at the 2014 Monaco Grand Prix, where Bianchi finished ninth and scored the team’s first points, a major achievement. Later that year Bianchi suffered his tragic accident at Suzuka, while the team entered financial collapse. Marussia’s story combines underdog ambition, breakthrough joy and deep sadness.
