Russell beats Hamilton to Barcelona pole as Leclerc crashes

George Russell struck back in the 2026 Formula 1 title fight by ending Kimi Antonelli's dominant streak and taking pole for the Barcelona Grand Prix.

Russell set a 1:14.679 for his third pole of 2026, 0.064s quicker than second-placed Lewis Hamilton. Antonelli qualified third, three tenths behind his Mercedes team-mate, while Charles Leclerc crashed in Q3.
