Tomáš Enge

Tomáš Enge is a Czech driver who raced in the final three Grands Prix of 2001 for Prost. He became the first Czech driver to start a Formula 1 race, giving him clear historical significance for his country’s motorsport. Enge had shown speed in Formula 3000, but his F1 opportunity came during Prost’s financial decline, leaving little chance to display his full ability. After Formula 1 he continued in sports cars and endurance racing. His Grand Prix career was brief, yet he remains an important figure as a driver from Eastern Europe who reached the F1 grid.
