Acer Prost Grand Prix
Overview
Prost was the French team led by four-time world champion Alain Prost, and 2000–2001 marked its final period. Drivers such as Jean Alesi, Nick Heidfeld and Heinz-Harald Frentzen brought ability, but the cars lacked competitiveness and the team faced severe financial pressure. The 2001 season included Luciano Burti’s major accident and further instability before the team collapsed at year’s end. Prost carried the prestige of a legendary name but never achieved the success expected. Its final seasons were a difficult chapter for French Formula 1.
