Nicholas Latifi

Overview

Nicholas Latifi is a Canadian driver who debuted with Williams in 2020 during a difficult rebuilding period for the team. He spent much of his F1 career fighting from the back of the grid alongside George Russell and later Alexander Albon. His best moments included scoring valuable points at the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix, helping Williams end a long drought. However, qualifying gaps and mistakes made it difficult for him to secure a long-term place. Latifi is also remembered for his late crash at the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, an incident that indirectly shaped one of F1’s most controversial title finales.
