Marc Gené
Overview
Marc Gené is a Spanish driver who raced for Minardi in 2000 before becoming a highly regarded Williams test driver. His best F1 result came at the 2003 Italian Grand Prix, where he replaced the injured Ralf Schumacher and finished fifth, demonstrating preparation and ability under pressure. He made further substitute appearances for Williams in 2004 and later worked in Ferrari-linked testing and endurance racing. Gené did not have many Grand Prix starts, but he was valued for development skill, stability and the capacity to deliver when called upon unexpectedly.
