Juan Pablo Montoya

Juan Pablo Montoya is a Colombian driver who entered Formula 1 with Williams in 2001 after winning CART and the Indianapolis 500. He quickly became famous for aggressive racing and for challenging Michael Schumacher without hesitation. With Williams-BMW he won races and fought for the 2003 championship. A move to McLaren in 2005 brought further victories but also questions over consistency and adaptation, and he left F1 mid-2006 for NASCAR. Montoya was one of the boldest personalities of the 2000s grid, combining raw speed, fearless overtaking and a distinctly uncompromising style.
