Arrows

Orange Arrows

Overview

Arrows was a British-based team active in the early 2000s with drivers such as Jos Verstappen, Pedro de la Rosa and Enrique Bernoldi. Financial pressure was constant, but the team fought in the lower midfield using Supertec and later Asiatech-related engines. Bernoldi’s long defensive run against David Coulthard at Monaco in 2001 became one of its most remembered moments. By 2002 the team’s finances collapsed and it disappeared during the season. Arrows represents the struggle of independent teams trying to survive as Formula 1 moved deeper into the manufacturer era.
