Christijan Albers

Overview

Christijan Albers is a Dutch driver who reached Formula 1 after success in DTM. He debuted with Minardi in 2005, the team’s final season, and later raced for Midland and Spyker as the organisation changed identity. Opportunities to fight for points were rare, but Albers gained experience in the difficult world of small independent teams, where simply finishing races and helping development mattered. His 2007 French Grand Prix pit-lane incident became an unwanted headline before he lost his seat. He remains associated with the mid-2000s backmarker era and the transition from Minardi toward Spyker and Force India.
