Yuji Ide
Overview
Yuji Ide is a Japanese driver who debuted with Super Aguri in 2006. He had achieved strong results in Formula Nippon, but Super Aguri was a hastily assembled new team, and Ide struggled to adapt to Formula 1 machinery and the international Grand Prix environment. After incidents including contact at the San Marino Grand Prix, his super licence was withdrawn and his F1 career ended after only a few races. The results were difficult, but Ide remains part of the early Super Aguri story and a stark example of how demanding F1 readiness can be.
